RESPONSIBLE TANNING
Under 18’s are NOT permitted to purchase UV packages or minutes online and will NOT be permitted to use UV services in-store*. If you are lucky enough to look under 21, we will ask you for proof of age in store before we will allow you to use UV tanning equipment. Please don’t be offended if you are asked, this is for your safety. This would need to be photo ID in the form of a passport, driving license or PASS card and include a date of birth and will need to be provided on every visit.
No person under 18 years of age are permitted to use the UV tanning equipment or enter tanning units or changing areas. There can only be one person in a tanning room when the equipment is active.
At the Tanning Shop we take responsible tanning seriously. We provide a FREE tanning consultation service to all clients in store which reviews a client’s skin type and recommends responsible tanning options.
You must leave a minimum of 24 hours between tanning session. You will be refused use of our UV tanning if there is less than 24 hours between sessions. The European Standard advises you do not exceed 60 sessions per year.
You must use eye protection on every visit. We provide free disposable eye wear in every tanning room. Please use these to protect your eyes every time you tan.
Please note you must read and sign a disclaimer on every visit to ensure you fully understand the risks associated with UV tanning. This must be completed before you are permitted to use UV equipment in store.
WHO CAN USE UV SUNBEDS?
If you are undergoing medical treatment or have photosensitive skin, you must consult a medical professional before using our equipment.
If you are pregnant, we will not permit the use of our UV tanning equipment. We will not allow anyone within their first trimester to use our Spray Tanning booths under any circumstance, if you wish to use the booths in your second or third trimester, we will require you to sign a disclaimer form in store.
If you have, or plan to have Botox or Dermal Fillers, we strongly advise speaking to a medical professional or your practitioner prior to using any UV tanning equipment.
Sunbed tanning systems should be treated with the same caution as normal sunlight. A tan should be built gradually, particularly if you have sensitive skin.
You must not use our tanning equipment if you have already been sunbathing in natural sunlight or had another sunbed that day (or plan to).
Never repeat tanning treatment if any signs of redness remain from previous sunbathing or tanning.
If you have an excessive number of moles (over 50) or have anyone in your immediate family who has had skin cancer you should seek medical advice before using UV Tanning equipment.
Do not use if you suffer from: ill effects from normal sunbathing, epilepsy, giddiness or fainting, headaches or migraine, heart condition, blood pressure, hypertension, prickly heat, cold sores, allergies, skin ulcers
Do not UV tan if you have had any of the following treatments in the last 24 hours; hot waxing, tattooing, bleaching, laser hair removal or electrolysis
By using our equipment, you acknowledge your understanding that using tanning services may result in skin ageing and potentially increase the risk associated with certain skin cancers.
Persons with sensitive skin or no existing tan should restrict their first few sunbed sessions to a maximum of six minutes. It is also advised that cosmetics, perfumes and deodorants should not be worn during treatment.
Alcohol consumption or use or illegal substances is not permitted before or during your session, if for any reason a member of our team feels you may be under the influence you may be turned away from your appointment.
RED LIGHT THERAPY
Always check with your GP before starting any new therapy to ensure it is safe for you. If you are undergoing medical treatment or have photosensitive skin you must consult a medical professional before using our equipment. If there is any pain or discomfort during the treatment it should be discontinued immediately. Seek medical advice before continuing the therapy. Our red light therapy beds & cryotherapy beds are not a medical device.

REFUNDS
UV and Red Light Therapy: Refunds are only available for medical reasons upon receipt of a valid medical certificate. All refund requests must be processed through our customer service team at customerservices@tfgg.co.uk, proof of purchase may be required to process a refund.
Lotions: Our lotion return policy allows you to return a lotion to the store in which it was purchased, within 14 days of purchase, if the product is faulty. The return request will then be passed to our Customer Services Team who will review the request during office hours. A refund or exchange may then be offered, provided that the product is faulty and is unused and in the same condition you received it. We reserve the right to refuse returns and refunds.
CLIENT LOTION STORAGE
Please note that a customer lotion storage facility is provided in our stores, this is a gesture of goodwill and we regret that we cannot be held responsible for any losses whatsoever. Any lotion left instore is left at the customer’s own risk. Customers can leave lotions for a maximum period of 12 months from purchase date. We reserve the right to remove and dispose of lotion without notice after 12 months.
LOTION NOTICE
Some lotion ingredients are NOT suitable for tanning and can damage bed acrylics. To protect the integrity of our beds and ensure we maintain our standards please adhere to the following Tanning Shop rules. The Tanning Shop has banned the following products for use in their shops; Tingle Creams, any oil, any 2bTanned or Shine Brown products, any lotions not made specifically for sunbeds
DAMAGE/LOSS OF CLIENT PROPERTY
You must keep all property and belongings with you in the studio at all times. It is also the customers responsibility to check the room before leaving to ensure they take all their property with them. Please note that The Tanning Shop cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any loss or damage to clients’ property whilst on the premises.
CHANGES TO PERSONAL CIRCUMSTANCES
Clients are required to inform the Tanning Shop immediately of any change in circumstances that affect their eligibility to use UV or Spray Tanning equipment. This would include any changes to their medical history for example pregnancy, a change in medication or diagnosis of a new medical condition.
CHANGES TO CLIENTS ACCOUNTS
Please note that any changes to clients’ accounts can be made via the online My Account section. If you need any assistance with this please speak to a member of our team in store. Alternatively, these can be made by emailing customerservices@tfgg.co.uk.
EXPIRATION OF MINUTES AND SESSIONS
Please note that all minutes and sessions are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
APPOINTMENTS
We politely ask all clients to arrive at the salon at least 5 minutes prior to their appointment time. Due to the popularity of equipment, we are unable to hold your appointment if you do not arrive on time, priority will be granted to the next client in the queue/walk-in session. We will however endeavour to accommodate you in the next available slot or on alternative equipment.
TRANSFER OF MINUTES
Requests to transfer minutes to an alternative store must be made in writing via email to customer services at customerservices@tfgg.co.uk.
Alternatively, please ask a member of staff.
PROMOTIONS
Promotions cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion.
20% OFF LOTIONS
20% off lotions promotion is available in store only, and is only available during opening hours. Excludes sachets. Only available at specified times. Please check our social media for promo codes and offers. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. The Tanning Shop reserve the right to withdraw offers at any time.
Clarehall Happy Hour
Offer exclusive to Clarehall. Valid in-store only between 8–10am. Purchase of Happy Hour offer required. One free lotion sachet per customer per visit. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. The Tanning Shop reserve the right to withdraw offers at any time.
Finglas Bundles
Offer exclusive to Finglas. Not redeemable for cash or monetary value. Subject to availability. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. The Tanning Shop reserve the right to withdraw offers at any time.

Offer available exclusively at The Tanning Shop Tallaght. Prepay credits are non-transferable. Free products must be collected at the time of purchase and cannot be exchanged or redeemed for cash or credit. Subject to availability. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. FACEBOOK COMPETITIONS
Facebook competitions run across all stores unless stated it is store specific. All winners will be contacted via Facebook or Instagram directly by our main page. We will NOT ask for any bank details to redeem a prize unless the prize is a cash prize. Our promotions are in no way endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram or Facebook directly. Winners will always be chosen at random unless otherwise specified.
LEAFLET AND PROMOTIONS
Unless stated otherwise, the duration of leaflets promotions/discounts is 12 months.
GIFT CARDS
Gift cards can only be redeemed in store. Not available to use against online purchase. Gift cards are valid for 12 months from purchase.

If you would like your account to be deleted, please log into the My Account area on the website:

Your account will be deleted by the Customer Services team. Please allow for up to 72 hours for this process to complete.
Customer accounts include personal contact details, purchase/booking history, and marketing contact preferences.
COMPLAINTS
To make a complaint to the Tanning Shop, correspondence can be submitted in writing to customerservices@tfgg.co.uk. Please include any supporting evidence which you feel may support your complaint.
